Verkwister Willie Hale keert opnieuw berooid terug naar het ouderlijk huis in Londen. Zijn vader is er niet zo blij mee, maar Willie weet hem vlot over te halen hem te laten blijven. Tegelijkertijd richt hij de charme op Dorothy Hope, wier vader groot is in linoleum en die, voordat Willie arriveerde, op het punt stond zich te verloven met een Russische aristocraat.
