Bill Dancer en het kleine meisje Curly Sue zijn daklozen. Als ze de rijke en mooie Grey Ellison laten geloven dat ze Bill hebben aangereden, in de hoop een maaltijd te krijgen, staat ze er op dat de twee blijven overnachten. Bill raakt er van overtuigd dat dit de plek is waar Curly Sue hoort te zijn en hij laat haar in de zorg van Grey. Curly Sue denkt hier echter anders over.
