Charlottes zoontje, Benny, hoort over de verdwenen traditie van de Kersttreinparade. Hij probeert zijn moeder over te halen de traditie in ere te herstellen, zodat er een betere band ontstaat tussen hun eigen woonplaats en dorpen in de buurt. Ze vragen Benny's leraar om hulp. Charlotte voelt zich aangetrokken tot hem, maar ze ontdekt dat hij een geheim verborgen houdt.
