De afgematte 74-jarige hagedis Leo zit al tientallen jaren vast in hetzelfde klaslokaal in Florida met zijn terrariumgenootschildpad. Als hij ontdekt dat hij nog maar één jaar te leven heeft, is hij van plan te ontsnappen en het leven aan de buitenkant te ervaren, maar in plaats daarvan raakt hij verstrikt in de problemen van zijn angstige leerlingen, waaronder een onmogelijk gemene vervangende leraar.
Nee, helaas is Leo nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
