Alex is een ambitieuze architect die ernaar uitkijkt om Kerstmis te vieren in de prachtige Swiss Inn van haar moeder. Tot haar ontsteltenis komt ze erachter dat haar voormalige beste vriendin Beth, die trouwde met Alex haar ex-vriend Jesse, er ook zal zijn.
