Dit hartverwarmende verhaal begint in Parijs, waar een aardige en excentrieke Madam haar gehele bezit nalaat aan haar geliefde high-societykatten. Maar Edgar, haar hebzuchtige butler, wil zelf het geld erven. Hij ontvoert de zachtaardige Duchess en haar drie ondeugende kleintjes, en laat ze op het Franse platteland aan hun lot over.
