Als Marilyn twee maanden na de dood van haar man onverwacht besluit opnieuw te trouwen, vraagt ze haar oude studievriendinnen Kitty, Lou en Alice als bruidsmeisjes. Tijdens een waanzinnige trip naar Florida is de oude chemie tussen de vier al snel teruggevonden. Het verleden komt boven, maar er worden ook fantastische nieuwe herinneringen gemaakt. Terwijl de vier druk zijn met het voorbereiden van de trouwdag, zorgen meningsverschillen, rauwheid en romantiek dat hun levens op onverwachte manieren op zijn kop worden gezet.
