Hoewel hij al zijn hele leven opgesloten zit in een beschermende plastic ballon, onder het immer waakzame oog van zijn overbeschermende moeder, heeft Jimmy nooit het idee gehad dat hij iets miste. Tot zijn buurmeisje ervandoor gaat om bij de Niagara watervallen te trouwen! Nu de bruiloft binnen enkele dagen zal plaatsvinden heeft Jimmy geen andere keus dan een mobiele plastic ballon te maken. Daarin zal hij dwars door het land reizen om de bruiloft tegen te houden, en haar de liefde te verklaren!
