Caroline North is een mooie, slimme vrouw van in de dertig. Ze is ook een eenzame workaholic. Haar beste vriendinnen, Jackie en Samantha, besluiten een einde te maken aan Caroline's lange reeks van werkweekenden en eenzame vakanties door een verrassingskerstvakantie voor haar te boeken in Prince George, Canada. Een klein stadje vol winterattracties waar Caroline kan skiën, sneeuw scooteren, hondensleeën en misschien, heel misschien, iemand ontmoeten met wie ze Kerstmis graag zou doorbrengen. Soms, door kerstmagie of gewoon zomaar, komen de goede wensen van je beste vrienden uit.
