Een Amerikaans gevechtschip dat op het punt staat om buiten gebruik genomen te worden wordt gekaapt door een groep terroristen. Gelukkig is de scheepskok Casey Ryback een voormalig Navy SEAL. Hij gaat eigenhandig het gevecht aan met de terroristen.
