Dora wordt voor een misdaad die ze zich niet kan herinneren opgenomen in een onorthodoxe instelling. Ze wordt er op regelmatige basis gedrogeerd en onderworpen aan een reeks intensieve psychische testen die verband houden met haar verleden. Maar Dora weet niet of ze haar artsen - of zelfs haar eigen geest - kan vertrouwen.
