Het verhaal speelt zich af in een eng Victoriaans landhuis, waar een familie bijeen is gekomen voor een testamentlezing. Drie stelletjes moeten de nacht in het landhuis doorbrengen om het fortuin te kunnen erven. Ze worden één voor één vermoord, maar door wie?
