Het is tijd voor liefde en magie als de uitvinder Andrew en zijn vrouw Adrian rond de eeuwwisseling als gastheer en -vrouw optreden tijdens de plattelandsbruiloft voor de pretentieuze filosoof Dr. Leopold en zijn jonge verloofde Ariel. De komst van Andrews beste vriend, de wellustige Dr. Maxwell Jordan, en zijn wulpse verpleegster Dulcy maakt de weg vrij voor lastige verleidingen, onwaarschijnlijke koppels en een betoverde chaos.
