Het idylische surferleven van Jared verandert drastisch als hij ziet hoe zijn vrienden een meisje verkrachten. Als zij later ook nog dood teruggevonden wordt weet hij niet wat hij moet doen. Terwijl de politie en media steeds dichter bij de waarheid komen wordt zijn loyaliteit voor zijn vrienden op de proef gesteld.
