Hun fascinatie voor de dood en het stierenvechten zorgt voor een band tussen de voormalige matador Diego en de mooie advocate Maria. Zij neemt de verdediging op zich van de jonge Angel, die een aantal moorden begaan zou hebben, maar weet dat hij onschuldig is, omdat ze een aantal van deze misdaden zelf begaan heeft tijdens het liefdesspel. Dan komt ze erachter dat Diego dezelfde obsessie heeft...
