Het dagdagelijkse leven van twee koppels wordt zwaar op de proef gesteld door een traumatisch hersenletsel. Gwen beleeft elke dag als in het jaar 1999. Wanneer ze voor de spiegel staat, herkent ze zichzelf niet en ook haar partner, met wie ze elke dag samenleeft, is voor haar een vreemde. Sarah is bang dat ze door haar geliefde Joe vergeten zal worden, nu hij door zijn verleden achtervolgd wordt. Een dokter is vastbesloten hen te helpen.
