In de nabije toekomst bedreigt een grote aardbeving het dagelijkse leven in Tokio, dat al door voorschokken geteisterd wordt. Enkele opruiende beste vrienden en muzikanten staan op het punt om de middelbare school achter zich te laten. Mede aangestuurd door hun angst halen ze grappen uit. Nadat de schooldirecteur hiervan de gevolgen ondervindt, wordt in het gebouw een bewakingssysteem geïnstalleerd. Hierop worden de onderlinge relaties tussen de tieners op de proef gesteld.
