Een groep veroordeelde criminelen krijgen het aanbod om hun vrijheid terug te verdienen. Daarvoor moeten zij een levensgevaarlijke opdracht vervullen. Diep in de Vietnamese jungles bevindt zich een geheime opslag van explosieven, die de Amerikanen bij hun terugtocht uit Vietnam hebben achtergelaten. Aan de tien veroordeelden de taak de opslag te vernietigen, voordat de Vietcong erachter komt.
