De 32-jarige Violet is werkzaam in de filmindustrie en maakt al heel haar leven beslissingen op basis van de stem die in haar hoofd zit. Via deze weg poogt ze ongunstige situaties in haar romantische, professionele en persoonlijke leven te vermijden. Door deze stem kan Violet evenwel nooit haar echte ik tonen. Op een dag staat ze stil bij haar leven en ontdekt ze dat de stem haar alleen maar leugens heeft verteld.
