Een bergstadje is in de ban van een reeks lichamen die steeds na volle maan gevonden wordt. Hierdoor wordt er meteen in het bestaan van weerwolven geloofd. De agent John Marshall veegt deze theorie volledig van tafel en denkt aan een seriemoordenaar. Het gebrek aan een goede nachtrust, de opvoeding van zijn tienerdochter en de zorg voor zijn vader doen hem echter twijfelen aan de zaak.
