Een slechte tovenares (Roberts) liegt en bedriegt om de troon van een weesmeisje (Lily Collins) te stelen en de aandacht van de prins (Armie Hammer) te trekken. Als de schoonheid van het meisje, Sneeuwwitje, de prins weet te bekoren verbant de koningin haar naar het bos, waar een vraatzuchtig beest hongerig wacht… Sneeuwwitje wordt gered door een groep kleine struikrovers en ontwikkelt zich tot een ontembare jonge vrouw met het vaste voornemen dat wat haar ontnomen is terug te krijgen. Met de hulp van haar onderdanen bindt ze de strijd aan met de verraderlijke koningin.
