Kelly Carter werkt in Parijs als garderobe-medewerkster voor de beroemde mode-ontwerper Francesco. Stiekem droomt ze ervan schoenen voor hem te ontwerpen, maar hij weet nauwelijks van haar bestaan af. Dan ontmoet ze een goede fee, die haar schoenen zo betovert dat ze wanneer ze het paar aantrekt, verandert in het fotomodel Prudence.
