Wanneer Lynn Hellman en haar zonen Elliot en Ben het huwelijk van haar oudste zoon – die ze als gevolg van een bittere echtscheiding niet heeft zien opgroeien – op het landgoed van haar ouders in Maryland bijwoont, heerst er de gebruikelijke chaos.
