Vijftien jaar na het traumatische incident bij het gemberkoekhuisje waarbij ze bijna het leven lieten zijn de tweeling Hans en Grietje volwassen geworden. Ze zijn nu gespecialiseerde premiejagers die op jacht zijn naar heksen. Eén van die heksen terroriseerde hen op jonge leeftijd.
