In de Boheemse 14de eeuw is Jan Žižka de militair leider van een groep huurlingen die het vieze werk voor de adel opknappen, in het bijzonder voor Lord Boresh. Hun nieuwe opdracht is om Boresh op tijd in Praag te krijgen om de inhuldiging van de nieuwe koning Wenceslaus veilig te stellen. Nadat dit mislukt moeten ze de dochter van een rijke edelman ontvoeren. Dit wordt lastig wanneer Jan voor haar valt.
