Vitoria-Gasteiz, Baskenland (noorden van Spanje). Forensisch psycholoog Unai López de Ayala is met verlof sinds de recente dood van zijn zwangere vrouw bij een auto-ongeluk een jaar geleden. Hij keert echter terug bij de politie nadat er opnieuw een paar lijken zijn opgedoken, net als 20 jaar geleden. Tasio Ortiz de Zarate, een voormalige tv-presentator van een mysterieshow werd gearresteerd voor deze reeks identieke misdaden. Tasio beweerde echter altijd onschuldig te zijn.
