De dagen van grote roem zijn voorbij voor de 72-jarige Buddy Young Jr.. In de jaren 60 een groot komiek met een eigen TV show, maar tegenwoordig slechts optredend voor een handjevol bejaardendie hem nog kennen uit zijn glorie-tijd. Wanneer zijn broer Stan, die al die jaren zijn manager is geweest, besluit om met pensioen te gaan, staat Buddy er helemaal alleen voor. De hevig teleurgestelde Buddy is echter niet van plan om bij de pakken neer te gaan zitten, en stelt alles in het werk om nog eenmaal voor het grote publiek te schitteren.
Nee, helaas is Mr. Saturday Night nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
