Lucy, een elf-jarig meisje dat verwaarloosd is door haar ouders, wordt in een kindertehuis geplaatst. Vanuit haar perspectief volgen we hoe ze probeert om te gaan met haar nieuwe omgeving. Haar geloof in zichzelf en haar religie zijn het enige dat ze heeft.
