Alphie (George Gilmour) en Bibi (Catherine Mary Stewart) zijn twee lieve, naïeve jongeren uit Canada. Ze gaan naar Amerika om mee te doen aan het Song Festival van 1994. Hoewel ze talent hebben, worden zij verslagen door een ander duo, dat begeleid wordt door BIM: De Internationale Muziek van meneer M. Boogalow. Dat verloopt helaas niet op eerlijke wijze. Hoewel terneergeslagen door hun verlies, kunnen ze beiden een contract tekenen bij BIM.
