Ichabod Crane wordt het schoolhoofd van een schoolgebouw. Hij valt voor Katrina Van Tassel, maar ze heeft een minnaar: Brom Bones. Brom schrikt hem af om als de Ruiter zonder Hoofd op te treden, maar dan ontmoet de echte.
