De wat lusteloze puber Pierre brengt zijn vakantie door bij zijn ouders op de Canarische eilanden. De relatie tussen moeder en vader is al een tijdje dood en elk van hen heeft zijn eigen weg in het leven gevonden. Als vader voor zaken weg moet, is Pierre aangewezen op zijn moeder die hij verafgood. Maar zij wil dat hij haar ziet voor wat ze is: een vrouw voor wie het leven - in al zijn eenzaamheid - is verworden tot een drank-, rook- en seksorgie. Als Pierre's vader om het leven komt laat hij zich onderdompelen in de destructieve en perverse levenswandel van zijn moeder.
