Twee verliefde tieners verklaren aan hun ouders dat ze willen trouwen. Niet over enkele jaren maar zo snel mogelijk. Dat leidt tot een conflict tussen de ouders en de kinderen. Ook van hun leraren is er protest, maar ze krijgen wel begrip en steun van hun klasgenoten. Ze besluiten van huis weg te lopen.
