Plot

Joe (Cary Grant) kent alle trucjes om geld te krijgen van mensen die graag een gokje wagen. Als hij hoort dat er veel geld omgaat in oorlogscollectes, wil hij ze het afhandig maken. Dorothy, de leidster van de collecte, vertrouwt hem echter niet en hij besluit de organisatie van binnenuit te benaderen door zich als vrijwilliger aan te melden, maar gaandeweg valt hij voor Dorothy en zij voor hem.
