De 17-jarige Candice is een dromer, en de dromen die ze heeft tijdens haar chronische epileptische aanvallen zijn de meest heldere van allemaal. In een ervan ontmoet ze een mooie slaapwandelende jongeman. Het is een droom die ze niet van zich af kan zetten, vooral vanwege het hoge realiteitsgehalte. De vader van Candice is een rechercheur die zijn tanden stukbijt op het geweld dat regelmatig door een kwaadaardige bende wordt veroorzaakt. Maar op een dag ontmoet Candice de slaapwandelaar en krijgt ze te horen dat hij lid is van de bende die haar vader wil oppakken.
