Met zijn huwelijk en carrière op instorten besluit de terneergeslagen schrijver Jack Spencer met zijn vrouw Amanda naar een geïsoleerd glamping-resort in een poging zijn huwelijk te redden. Door een dubbele boeking blijkt hun privéretraite echter weinig privacy te bieden door de komst van een hip pasgetrouwd stel en een knappe grootgrondbezitter. Jack moet proberen voor zichzelf op te komen als hij op zoek gaat naar liefde, mislukking, relevantie en miniatuurezels.
