Het leven van de stoere cross motorrijder Miles (16) verandert compleet wanneer hij tijdens een motorrit robothond A-X-L ontdekt. A-X-L is de nieuwste uitvinding op het gebied van militaire bescherming en is ontworpen om in te zetten tijdens gevechten. Hij is gewond en samen met Miles’ crush Sara neemt hij de zorg van A-X-L op zich. Dan blijkt dat A-X-L ook gewoon gevoel heeft en ontstaat er een intense vriendschap tussen A-X-L, Miles en Sara. Maar wat gebeurt er als de eigenaar van A-X-L zijn robothond terug wilt?
Nee, helaas is A-X-L nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
