Russ Duritz is een drukke zakenman met weinig vrienden en een slechte band met z'n familie. Op een avond zit er ineens een 8-jarige jongen in z'n huiskamer. Het blijkt de jongere versie van Russ te zijn. Kleine Rusty doet Russ weer beseffen hoe het was om kind te zijn, en zorgt ervoor dat Russ z'n leven betert.
Nee, helaas is The Kid nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
