Rob is getrouwd met Maude, maar zij werkt erg veel en heeft daarom nauwelijks tijd voor hem. Hij ontmoet de celliste Micki en krijgt een relatie met haar. Als Micki zwanger blijkt te zijn, besluit Rob om met haar te trouwen. Voordat hij de kans krijgt Maude hierover in te lichten, vertelt ook zij dat ze zwanger is. Sterker nog, het blijkt dat hun beide kinderen op dezelfde dag ter wereld komen. Rob wringt zich in allerlei bochten om te voorkomen dat de twee dames van elkaars bestaan af komen te weten.
