V.I. Warschawski is een freelance privé-detective in Chicago. Na een avondje stevig drinken ontmoet ze ex-ijshockeyer Boom Boom Grafalk en een romance is aanstaande. Dan staat Boom Boom opeens voor de deur met zijn 13-jarig dochtertje en vraagt aan Warschawski of zij een tijdje op haar kan passen. Ze stemt toe, maar Boom Boom wordt dezelfde avond nog vermoord.
Nee, helaas is V.I. Warshawski nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
