Eric besluit een kamer te verhuren van zijn appartement op een toplocatie in het centrum van Manhattan. Dat zou makkelijk moeten zijn. Het probleem is de dag dat hij de oproep plaatste: de dag vóór 9/11. Elke potentiële huurder van de kamer ziet het uitzicht uit het raam. Je kijkt uit op het WTC (World Trade Centre). Elke bezichtiger begint zijn of haar eigen ervaring van de gruweldaad te herbeleven. Als ongeschikte toekomstige huisgenoten komen en gaan, ondergaat Eric zijn eigen reis van het leven, vol met liefde en zelfontdekking.
