Allen Ginsberg is een dichter met de sterke drang om zijn bewustzijn te verkennen. Dit vooral door het gebruiken van drugs, maar ook door het schrijven van gedichten. Nadat zijn eerste gedicht "Howl" gepubliceerd wordt, roept dit nogal heftige reacties op wegens vermeende obsceniteit.
Nee, helaas is Howl nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
