Jackie is een oude komiek die zijn beste dagen achter zich heeft. Ondanks verwoede pogingen zichzelf opnieuw uit te vinden wil het publiek hem enkel terugzien als een karakter dat hij jarenlang op televisie speelde. Wanneer hij vervolgens een toeschouwer aanvalt, krijgt hij een taakstraf opgelegd. Tijdens het werk ontmoet hij Harmony, de dochter van een louche makelaar uit Florida, waarmee hij een speciale band opbouwt.
Nee, helaas is The Comedian nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
