Waargebeurd verhaal over de van origine Duitse vrouw Olga Benário Prestes. Zij is de vrouw van de Braziliaanse communistenleider Luís Carlos Prestes. Tijdens de dictatuur van Vargas (1930-1945) werd ze gearresteerd en naar nazi-Duitsland gestuurd, waar ze in een concentratiekamp terecht kwam.
