Een muzikale film over de meest succesvolle onafhankelijke platenmaatschappij aller tijden - Casablanca Records - van platenbaas en medeoprichter Neil Bogart. De rockband KISS, Donna Summer, Gladys Knight, Bill Withers, Giorgio Moroder en The Village People bereikten in de jaren ’70 allemaal hun hoogtepunt onder het ‘toeziend oor’ van deze meest kleurrijke en briljante producent van de muziekindustrie. Samen met vele jonge muziekliefhebbers zou Casablanca Records de geschiedenis herschrijven en de industrie voor altijd veranderen met ‘de beste soundtrack van ons leven’. Hun mix van creatieve waanzin en geloof in elkaar vormde onze cultuur en definieerde uiteindelijk een generatie.
