Janusz is niet iemand die snel ergens voor terugdeinst. Als lijkschouwer verricht hij nauwkeurig onderzoek en analyseert hij de plaats delict tot in de kleinste details. Ondanks de extreme situaties waarin hij terecht komt werkt hij hard. Misschien wel iets te hard. Als hij wordt geconfronteerd met de anorexia van zijn dochter Olga, die nog steeds rouwt om haar overleden moeder, voelt hij zich machteloos.
