Als de in Londen woonachtige Philippe de Montfaucon teruggeroepen wordt naar zijn wijngaard in Frankrijk vanwege de droogte, vraagt hij zijn vrouw en kinderen thuis te blijven, maar zij besluiten met hem mee te gaan. Eenmaal aangekomen bij het kasteel Bellenac, ontdekt zijn vrouw dat er vreemde rituelen plaatsvinden, wat mogelijk tot de dood van Philippe zal leiden.
