Al jaren maakt Houtsnijder Meneer Meacham kinderen blij met zijn verhalen over een woeste draak die diep in de donkere bossen van de Pacific Northwest woont. Zijn dochter Grace, die werkt als boswachter, vindt die verhalen maar ongeloofwaardig. Totdat zij Peter ontmoet, een mysterieuze jongen zonder huis en familie die samen beweert te leven met een gigantische, groene draak genaamd Elliott. De beschrijvingen die Peter over de draak vertelt, lijken verdacht veel op de draak uit de verhalen van Meneer Meacham. Daarom gaat Grace samen met haar vriendin Natalie op zoek naar de waarheid.
Nee, helaas is Peter en de Draak nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
