Een jonge ondernemer (Jake) verspeelt alles op de avond van het grootste feest van zijn bedrijf. Zijn leven is een puinhoop wanneer hij Manhattan verlaat om bij zijn zwangere zus, zwager en driejarige neefje te gaan wonen. Zijn leven in de voorstad is niet alleen heel anders nu hij in feite de 'nanny' is, hij moet ook serieus nadenken over zijn toekomst.
