Dennis Rader (Gerard Griesbaum) is een seriemoordenaar. Hij staat ook bekend als de BTK-Moordenaar, dat staat voor "Binden, Martelen, Doden," Dennis Rader maakte talrijke slachtoffers in de jaren '70, werd gezocht door de politie, maar het onderzoek eindigde op een dood spoor omdat hij compleet verdween. Dertig jaar later komt hij terug en pak de draad op waar hij vroeger eindigde en net zo medogenloos.
