Het klassieke verhaal van Victor Hugo wordt opnieuw leven in geblazen rond het American Football-team The Fighting Irish, van de universiteit van Notre Dame, Indiana. Crazy (Gabriel Hogan), de grote lelijke zoon van coach Les Modeau (Scott Hylands), krijgt vanwege zijn postuur een kans bij het team. Hij wordt vreselijk gepest en wordt ook nog eens hopeloos verliefd op Esmerelda (Emmanuelle Vaugier), het bloedmooie vriendinnetje van de quarterback en ster van het team.
Nee, helaas is The Halfback of Notre Dame nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
